Our story
Why we exist,
and who we help.
Homestyle started in 2010 when Jake, a time-served joiner who'd spent a decade fitting bespoke kitchens and stairs, got tired of seeing botched shutter installs in the homes he was working in. Wrong materials in damp rooms, panels that wouldn't close flat, frames screwed straight into crumbling plaster. He set up on Ansdell Road to do it properly, and we've grown one referral at a time ever since.
We help homeowners who care how their house feels. Most of our work is on Victorian and Edwardian properties where original sash windows, deep bay reveals and out-of-square apertures need a specialist's eye, and on newer homes where over-height stairwell glazing or bi-fold patio doors need motorised, app-controlled solutions. We specialise in plantation shutters, made-to-measure shutters, premium blinds and made-to-measure curtains.
Today we cover every postcode across Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Bolton, Bury, Sheffield, Leeds and Halifax. The base hasn't moved. The team hasn't changed. The phone still gets answered by Jake personally.

Jake's brother, part owner of Homestyle and our main fitter. Ten years as a joiner means every install is squared, plumbed and finished to a cabinetmaker's standard.
Josh
Apprentice Fitter
18 years old and six months into his apprenticeship with us. Josh is learning every part of the trade from survey to fit, and you'll often see him on the van alongside Jake on installs across Greater Manchester and Yorkshire.
